My Project

My students are curious, enthusiastic learners who thrive when given the tools to explore the past in meaningful ways. I teach 6th and 7th grade history in a diverse, Title I school where many students face challenges beyond the classroom. Despite this, they show up every day ready to learn and grow.

To support their academic success and engagement, our classroom needs essential supplies to bring history to life.

We are requesting:

We will use colored pencils, markers, and highlighters for map activities and timeline projects.

Poster board and chart paper will support group presentations and enhance visual learning.

Organizational tools like folders, bins, and pencil cases will help keep materials accessible and tidy.

Dry-erase boards and markers will be used to encourage student participation and make review games more engaging.

Notebooks and index cards will support interactive note-taking and vocabulary building.

These supplies will support hands-on projects like creating Ancient Civilization brochures, World War I propaganda posters, and Civil Rights timelines. With your help, we can create a dynamic learning environment where students see history as more than dates and facts—they’ll see it as stories that shaped the world they live in.
