My Project
My students LOVE the writing center. This center allows them choice and opportunity to be creative. The writing materials I am requesting will engage young authors and illustrators in my first grade classroom. They will be able to use gel pens, markers, twistable crayons, post it notes, and more with the materials I am requesting in this project.
Students are able to work on labeling pictures or their own illustrations, create their own books, write letters or postcards, or work on mix and fix messages during their writing center time.
New writing tools are critical for student engagement and motivation to write during center time.
