My co-teacher and I would like to create an environment where students would feel comfort with a variety of seating arrangements. We would like to offer flexible seating when engaging in a mini-lesson, working in groups or working independently.
Utilizing flexible seating helps keep students engaged, moving, and doing their best work, as well as giving them free choice.
Students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are givn a choice to work. Our goal is to create an engaging environment with an additive of creating responsibility and choice making for one's self.
