My Project
Last year, we opened a brand new K-8 school, and this year my school is opening 7th grade, and our students are eager to continue being the first middle schoolers to pave the academic success for our new school. Our students love to learn, and they learn best by expressing their thinking and talking to their peers. With these easel pad charts and markers, students will get to work in groups to express their learning. I also want to teach mini lessons about kindness/character by having students write compliments to each other on a compliment chart. Last year, I was not able to do as much group work as I lacked the materials. With the charts, students will be responding to text-based-questions or revising and editing sentences/passages to work on grammar skills, and they will be using KAGAN group strategies and getting their energy out, too!
