My Project

The rise of virtual learning means that nearly everyone has experienced the challenge of mastering mathematics without a teacher there to guide you. The internet provides many great options for kids to learn how to tackle different math concepts through YouTube videos and other tutorial sites. My question is: why let the adults have all the fun in making these math videos?

I want to empower my students to take what they have learned as young mathematicians and produce instructional materials to help others!

There is nobody better suited to communicate math learning to students than other students! I have been working on making this project a complete reality for several years. Each step along the way my class has gotten closer and closer to having everything we need to truly dive into this project with gusto. These writing tablets will enable my students to start making their own teaching videos. This will give them an authentic audience with whom to share their learning and help them solidify the concepts we are working on in class.
