Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 19 wonderful students. Most of my students have a learning disability or they are English language learners. They struggle in learning new concepts. Some of them learn at a slower pace and are below grade level. It admires to me how much they all love to learn. I want to continue this motivation that they have for learning.

Most activities that gains their interest are simplified and hands on learning activities.

This year I want to incorporate project based learning. Visuals often help them connect and grasped the skills that are being taught. When they are active in their learning they are engaged and take a lot from the activity. They are each unique and have amazing personalities. I enjoy teaching them all.

My Project

These supplies will help my visual learners learn in exiting way with being able to practice the taught state standards in a new way. The Social Studies globe will allow students to see, read and feel the different cultures of the world. The Native American game will teach them about the different tribes in a fun new engaging way.

The timer will help my ADHD students stay and complete different task.

It will give them a visual on when to complete their work. Math games will help students practice their math skills as they strive for mastery. Students that are struggling in their math skills will be able to learn in another form that is simplified to their abilities. The math games allows students to see how numbers are decomposed and composed. Math magnetic kit is not for the teacher to demonstrate during whole group instruction but for students to show what they know as well.
