This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my class yearn to learn more about history and important historical figures who inspire us. One of the best examples is Anne Frank. We will study her resilience and her courage as she lived through one of history's worst genocides.
Graphic novels are an amazing way for my students to be engaged in their learning.
They also benefit greatly from having the opportunity to interact with a hard copy of a book rather than digital. This helps us for referencing, annotating, and exploring the captivating illustrations that this book provides.
After reading "Anne Frank's Diary: The Graphic Adaptation", students will create their own fictionalized character that lived through another historical event of their choice and write journal entries from their point of view.
