This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a wonderful, gifted class of amazing second grade students in an K- 8 center IB Magnet school located in Miami-Dade County. My students are all about why, how, where and when. They are truly an engaged group of students. Unfortunately, without outside support, the students and I will be left without working technology. My students thrive on learning and technology, and they are truly eager to learn. They are constantly asking questions, so I turn to technology as much as possible for an additional engagement since not all homes have these resources.
My Project
Our classroom is requesting a wireless speaker to create a surround sound environment inside the classroom and outside during recess.
The Bluetooth speaker will keep students engaged and motivated in class.
The speaker would provide wonderful surround sound for iPad apps, white board activities, computer activities, music in the classroom and outside during recess. Music seems to make all the difference in the world when teaching students and motivating them. The wireless speaker that we are requesting is very versatile and would also allow for musical fun in our class. The speaker is small enough to not take up a lot of room in the classroom and loud enough for all students to hear no matter where they sit. I think that this speaker will enhance the learning experience in our classroom.
