My Students
My students are an energetic group of children, coming from a variety of backgrounds. They are smart and eager, possessing an awesome drive to learn. Their learning abilities span across the spectrum, making them a unique group to work with in the classroom.
My students use school as a stepping stone for their futures!
School is an outlet for creativity and expression. Each student brings a different attribute to our classroom. Their diversity and passion for learning is so unique and strong that they ultimately deserve the best!
My Project
In third grade, students are immersed in the authentic practices for Reading and Writing Workshop. During their time, students actively engage with their independent books by responding to what the author has written by stopping and jotting on post-its. Also, in writing, students, rather than marking up their drafts, utilize post-its for anticipated need in areas of conventions, content, and voice. Anchor charts are meant to support lessons taught, providing students a reference for a skill or a standard. With the Reading and Writing Workshop model, anchor charts are used daily, requiring an abundance of them. By donating to this project, you are contributing to the continued, literacy learning of my students.
