My Students
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin
Many students become more interested when they are able to be involved in hands-on learning activities.
A few of my students will remember the things that I teach them after repeating it a few times. However, all of my students are able to learn when they are given the opportunity to explore through hands-on learning. I am always looking for ways to engage my students and introduce them to today's technology.
Many of the students in my classroom come from low-income households. Like most kids, they just want to feel welcomed and loved. Many of the students in my classroom are hands-on learners. They learn best when they are able to be a part of the process. They are more likely to remember what they are learning because they are able to see it happening. By incorporating fun technology, it is helping them learn now as well as preparing them for what the future holds.
My Project
For this project, I am asking for donations to help fund OSMO kits for my classroom. OSMO kits are interactive kits for an iPad that help make learning fun.
Through fun OSMO activities, my students will be so engaged that they forget they are learning valuable skills!
I am always looking for new fun ways to engage my students in learning, and OSMO kits will be a great addition to our classroom.
I will be able to utilize the OSMO kits during our center rotations to give my students fun engaging activities that still promote learning. These kits will also help challenge my students who finish their work before others. These kits will provide my students with opportunities to learn to code, work on math skills like counting money, engage them in math fact practice, as well as work on reading skills to solve mystery clues. OSMO kits will be a valuable asset to our classroom.
