This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative, curious, and eager to explore new ways of learning. They thrive in hands-on, real-world applications of knowledge, and project-based learning (PBL) gives them the opportunity to deepen their understanding and foster essential skills like collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. However, maintaining motivation and focus over the course of these extended projects can be a challenge, especially as students face complex tasks that test their persistence.
We plan to provide a range of incentives, from small rewards for milestone achievements to special experiences or items for project completion.
These incentives will help students stay committed, encourage positive teamwork, and celebrate their hard work and accomplishments. For example, students can earn certificates, special privileges, or materials to support their project presentations. The goal is to keep them excited, motivated, and focused as they dive into their learning. With incentives, students are not only encouraged to complete their projects but are also motivated to put their best efforts forward. These rewards will provide a sense of accomplishment and recognition, reinforcing the life skills they’re building through PBL. By funding this project, you’re helping create a dynamic learning environment that will celebrate growth and innovation, empowering my students to thrive academically and personally.
