I am a teacher in New York who teaches science to seventh grade students and also am an extra substitute when other teachers are absent. My school does not have enough classrooms for all of it's teachers and some teacher, like myself, have to travel from room to room.
My students are very eager to interact with technology, but as a teacher who doesn't have her own classroom there is a limit to what I can carry around. I am asking for a few items that would help my class to stay organized in our many different rooms and to become engaged in the lessons being presented. These are things that I know will excite the students every time I bring them out.
At this time I am asking for an Eggspert learning system as it is small enough for me to be able to carry around the school. This learning system will help my students to be engaged as flashing lights and an interactive lesson are two things that get kids excited and focused. In addition I am asking for a small carrier for markers and crayons. Right now I have just been putting piles of markers on each table, but having this organizer will make it neater and easier for me to pass out and collect markers. I am also asking for a slide set as the microscopes are a big part of our curriculum. I work hard to make sure that students know how to use the microscope and they really get excited about it. I would like to have these slides available to them so that students who are finished early can continue to explore their curiosity by looking at a variety of different things.
