My Students
My school is located in Co-Op City in the Bronx. We are a Title I school with a large percentage of students whom come from lower income families. I work in a self contained classroom with up to 12 students whom are generally very happy, creative, and spirited. They benefit from visual leaning, tactile learning, and in-depth explanation of new material and more.
My Project
I work with special needs students hailing from the Bronx, New York. I work with students whom have varied learning styles and preferences including a lot of visuals. Pre - COVID-19, the need for students to visually see examples on a moments notice was accomplished via whiteboards and direct instruction and 1:1. To have great visuals and be able to directly infuse their learning immediately is essential. With the pandemic hitting while I realize I have the technological no how, I don't have the right technology to really take my remote lessons to the next level. With this IPad I will be able to utilize my laptop and IPad simultaneously, in order to show students examples, videos and annotate in an easier fashion to give my students a great remote learning experience.
