Help me give my students a document camera. Having a document camera will increase the engagement and focus of my students because I will be able to show pages from books and other materials needed in my lessons.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a Title I, NYC DOE school in Queens, NY. My students are almost all English Language Learners from all different backgrounds and cultures. I love working with such a diverse group of students. Their diversity and native languages help teach the importance of acceptance. I love to reference my students' diversity throughout all lessons I teach. Part of the diversity in my classroom is the different types of learners. Not only do I have ENL students in my classroom, but I also have students with disabilities.
My special education students love learning but, often require different methods and modifications to support their learning.
Differentiated learning and color visuals are crucial in my classroom to achieve successful learning for all of my students!
My Project
Having a document camera will increase the engagement and focus of my students because I will be able to show pages from workbooks, writing, and other materials needed in my lessons. Right now, it is difficult to remotely teach where I am just using my laptop. If I am trying to show them my writing or other documents, I have to hold them up to the laptop camera. This may cause issues such as pictures showing backwards, blurred, or too small. Additionally, when I hold up documents to the camera they cannot see me at the same time.
With the document camera, students will be more engaged due to the fact that they can see both the document and me.
We have been forced to switch to fully remote learning and I no longer have access to the same resources I did in my classroom. I want to give my students the best remote learning experience possible, as they love coming on Google Meets and are so excited to learn every day.
