Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in an extensive support needs classroom that serves students from Pre-K through 3rd grade.

My students are bright, enthusiastic, and eager to learn, but they require specialized materials that match their individual learning styles and developmental levels.

We focus heavily on basic academics, life skills, and building foundational knowledge in a way that’s engaging and accessible. To meet these needs, I am requesting three Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. These will allow me to purchase errorless file folder activities, hands-on academic centers, and life skills resources that are thoughtfully designed for students with disabilities. Many of these materials are created by other special educators and are specifically geared toward learners like mine.

Teachers Pay Teachers is an amazing platform filled with ready-to-use, adaptable, and inclusive teaching materials. With these gift cards, I plan to purchase:

• Errorless file folder tasks to build confidence and reduce frustration

• Life skills units such as brushing teeth, sorting laundry, and identifying community helpers

• Academic centers focused on alphabet recognition, counting, and matching

• Visual schedules and task cards to support independence and structure

These materials will be used daily in small group instruction, independent workstations, and during structured teaching sessions. They not only help meet my students at their individual levels, but also allow me to rotate activities to keep them engaged and excited about learning.

Your donation will directly impact students with extensive support needs, providing them with high-quality, differentiated resources that promote independence, engagement, and growth. These gift cards will stretch far, enabling me to access a wide variety of materials that are tried and tested by other educators in similar settings.

Thank you for helping me give my students the tools they need to thrive!
