My Project
Over the last few years I've learned that students engage in learning better when they are comfortable and don't have distractions. I teach my main lessons from the floor away from the desks. In order to make this more comfortable for my students I would like to provide them with comfortable options to sit on. I have requested some sitting spots to give my students choices of seats.
We are also hoping to increase their understanding of math concepts by putting tangible objects in their hands.
The use of manipulatives in math gives students a real way to visualize math concepts. We are also in need of some classroom items to use in our day to day endeavors.
