My Students
My students are an adorable diverse group of 5 and 6-year-olds. They are so enthusiastic and motivated to learn. It is so inspiring to watch them work together to help each other grow! My students come in September with many unique abilities and various starting points, but all are eager to learn. Each student has their own learning style, so I strive to meet each of their needs. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching kindergarteners is the amazing growth from September to June.
My Project
Kindergarten is an exciting time! Many of my students are still learning letter names and sounds, but by the end of the year will come out reading. Due to the pandemic, many of the students missed out on in-person pre-k and are lacking in what normally would give them a head start. Square Panda Phonics Multisensory will engage and motivate my students to learn the phonics needed to become readers. I will be using these in small groups to help me differentiate the needs of the students.
