Engaging Future Scientists, Engineers, and Mathematicians!
Help me give my students a document camera, and a variety of STEM kits and activities to explore their thinking, problem-solving skills, and working together as a community.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My children are entering kindergarten in a public school located in a low-income community. Most of the engagement they may have with learning will be while they are in school. Kindergarten can be rigorous for some students and these materials will help them to see that they can also have fun through learning and explore their own creativity.
The children will be able to work as a community to facilitate the projects and work together to problem-solve any challenges.
They will also be able to showcase their creations and have the opportunity to share with the class their planning, success, how they worked through challenges, and if this could be used in the real-world.
My Project
My children will have the opportunity to engage and be creative with different STEM materials. It will allow them to problem-solve and work together as a community. All would be encouraged to participate and work through any challenges they will encounter. These materials will allow the students to facilitate the learning amongst themselves. This will also provide them with the opportunity to work with other materials and bring their ideas to life. The children will be able to create different buildings, discover how STEM is applied in the real world, challenge and encourage each other. The document camera will be used to show and tell their creations along with minimizing the need for class sets since it will project STEM related activities on the board. These activities can be read alouds related to the projects, students responses, and work together to possibly create videos of their projects.
Children will be able to make a connection with the readings in the classroom along with their learnings in science.
