Engaging Future Scientists and Engineers through S.T.E.A.M.!
Help me give my students basic art and writing supplies of Post-it Pads, Markers, Dry Erase Markers/Erasers, Playdoh, and Glue to brainstorm, plan, and create during S.T.E.A.M.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are enthusiastic about all things science. Everything around us is science! Our class is captivated by the natural world and how things work together. My students are inquisitive, investigative, and innovative thinkers!
Engaging our class in S.T.E.A.M helps develop critical thinking, creative, and communication skills.
Post-it Pads and markers help students brainstorm while working collaboratively with peers. Dry erase boards, markers, and erasers help students visualize and plan their detailed sketches of prototypes. Playdoh and glue help put together their creative models.
Hands-on experiences generate curiosity and inspiration about how things in the world work and how they can be improved. These activities promote a growth mindset and a positive learning environment for our future scientists and engineers.
