Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kinder/first grade class is full of energy and enthusiasm! I teach an inclusion class of kids on the spectrum and they are the most loving and fun group! My kids come in the morning ready to learn but constantly need breaks and different sensory output to facilitate learning processes! They need all types of reinforcement and motivation to learn and everyday these reinforcements are changing!
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my student's learning because the way my students learn is not like your average everyday classroom learning. All these items will help my students benefit and learn all types of skills such as life skills and communication skills , from just sitting down nicely and attending for a short period of time to learning to keep themselves engaged. These skills expand beyond the classroom because these items can help my kids learn things the simplest things from pointing to a picture in a book which can expand and be used to pointing when requesting for items when they do not know their names or for when they need help communicating things that they cannot!
