My students' education has been enhanced by learning about each others unique beliefs, experiences, and backgrounds.The area my students live in is highly mobile; many new students move-in and move-out throughout the year.
My students have taught me more about life than I ever thought possible.
No matter what challenges they are facing outside of school, it never keeps them from trying their very best every single day. I look up to them; they are my role-models.
My Project
The materials I am requesting for my students will be used during literacy and math centers. These materials will allow my students to maintain engagement in autonomously with hands-on learning materials. The journals will allow my students a safe place to express their feelings and identify their current mood. The organizing bins will be used for students to be autonomous and self-directed learners while working with their peers. Hands-on learning, self-expression and autonomy are critically important for first grade students. These materials will help my amazing students to move forward emotionally, academically and socially.
