My Students
The school is situated in a rural area in the westernmost part of O'ahu, Hawaii. Our children face daily challenges and desperately need our support and care. We serve the highest population of students who are in poverty and lack reliable transportation.
I believe education is a priority and it should not be hindered for those that come from low-socioeconomic neighborhoods.
For most of them, it is difficult to get the basic school supplies that are needed to learn. Please join me in supporting our students that need a leg up in our society.
My Project
These materials will be used in our STEM Lab to help give students experiences where they can engage in engineering explorations and build beautiful wood pieces. We can also use them during brain breaks when they need to be energized.
They are all educational engineering activities, so they will be learning to construct animals and mazes all while they are having fun with their fellow peers.
These engineering materials would also be for makerspace challenges, and more will be provided through generous donations toward this project goal.
