My Students
Our school is a small and diverse school. Our students come from hard working families who have hopes and dreams for their children to launch out as successful members of our community.
Our students aspire to become critical thinkers and problem solvers of their generation.
Storyworks by Scholastic provides them opportunities to explore high interest selections in every genre, as well as challenge themselves with extended activities and videos. These magazines will boost their critical thinking skills through practice that they find interesting and relevant.
My Project
Scholastic Storyworks magazine engages all levels of readers through high interest topics in a full range of genres. Even reluctant readers find themselves drawn into the stories, poems, and articles of the Storyworks magazine.
When students are engaged in high interest stories and articles, they are eager to dig deeper to engage and build critical thinking skills.
Storyworks has resources that meet the needs of the various levels of readers and learners through leveled activities. Monthly issues are relevant to current events. Extension activities allow students to engage with with technology as they eagerly dig deeper into topics of interest.
