My students enter the classroom each morning with positivity, hope, and an eagerness to learn. Each day, they work hard to understand new math and reading concepts. Their joy can be overwhelming when they finally read that book they've been working on for two weeks.
My students are the future.
They are future police officers, dancers, doctors, lawyers, and teachers. They are dedicated at a young age to their education, and I want to help them grow however I can.
My Project
Each day, my students engage in independent learning time, or centers. Centers give students the opportunity to work alone to understand concepts. During this time, students are also pulled to small instructional groups to more fully understand the material taught during class.
It is crucial for students to be fully engaged in their independent work.
My attention needs to be fully directed to the small instructional groups, so the centers have to capture the students attention. These centers must also work to reinforce the material taught previously. The supplies I have selected will help my students grow continuously throughout the day. I have asked for interactive centers and games that will help students build essential reading and math skills. Addition Fluency puzzles and Roll and Read games will add excitement to learning! A classroom can never have too many resources, and this project gives my students more opportunities to grow.
