it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is a cross-categorial special education, self-contained classroom serving 4th-6th grade students in a low income area. Many of the students are dual labeled. Students spend majority of their academic time inside the classroom. Materials requested are engaging and highly motivating learning items. Students in the classroom have a variety of sensory, emotional, and academic needs that will be met through the provided items. Painting, beads, textured letters, and tactile letters allow students continued practice on letters and sight words. Students can use these materials to work towards their goals in new and exciting ways.
