My Students

I work in a Title I elementary school with some of the most wonderful young people I've ever met. These students are incredible movers and shakers who need a little bit of extra help with their education, which affords me the privilege of working with them! These students often need to learn in more individualized ways.

My Project

This project is aimed at helping students be engaged in language-enriching activities. We know that literacy is such an important way for students to learn. It encompasses skills they will need to learn in school as well as at home.

This project has some hands-on activities that pair wonderfully with books to keep students engaged in literacy and learning.

Young children learn best when they are engaged in multisensory activities. Bins full of pompoms that conceal vocabulary words or animals we are working on help students to be excited to learn and engaged in what their peers are discovering. Glitter wands can be used to help students stay focused during lessons that are more structured. Materials like busy books can be used for following directions, vocabulary growth, expanding sentences, and requesting. Thank you for your support!
