This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The benefits of social and emotional learning (SEL) are well-researched, with evidence demonstrating that an education that promotes SEL yields positive results for students, adults, and school communities.

Being able to tap into the skills of my students using a multi-modality approach will help ensure growth socially and emotionally.

Students have a wide range of abilities. Utilizing different lessons, methods, and resources, this will ensure more success for SEL growth. Using stress balls that will be stored in the office for all to use can help with emotional regulation. Fidget toys and other party favors will help reinforce positive behavior within sessions.
