My Students

I am lucky enough to teach some of the most amazing third graders. Many of them have only experienced school during a pandemic. They don't know what a normal school year is like. Even though there are uncertainties in the world, I will; do my best to make sure my students needs are being met.

The kids in my class are very excited about learning.

We strive for academic excellence every day. We have worked together to create a class climate where everyone is welcome and accepting of differences in others. They treat each other with kindness and respect. They know in our class, we are a family, an unbroken chain because we've got what it takes, we can do hard things, and we help each other out. We work to make every day a great day.

My Project

These supplies will help make an engaging and welcoming environment in my classroom. Everything from math to art and science to social interactions will be enhanced by these supplies. Students need opportunities for hands on experiences, ways to express themselves, and collaborative learning. The supplies I am asking for will increase student engagement and joy in t he classroom. "That which is learned without joy is easily forgotten", according to a Finnish saying. I want to bring joyful learning experiences to my students so that new learning will stick, they will feel important, have many ways to interact with others and express themselves.
