This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The equipment and items I've requested from Fiesta Bowl Charities will enhance the students' learning and Elementary Physical Education program at my school site. These items will be impactful and contribute to the success of our program. Due to funding and ordering limitations, they are often difficult to purchase. Moreover, there is equipment which is worn out or broken from use and needs to be replaced. This project will aid in incorporating events and curriculum which my students would not otherwise be able to participate in, such as bowling, gaga ball, volleyball, and field events for Track & Field. Other capital outlay items would include a cart for moving equipment inside and outside and clipboards for recording data when I'm teaching outside. This project offers fun and safe options for students during PE while deepening their love for being active and healthy.
My overall goal aims to provide my K-6th grade students with the necessary tools and resources to engage in developmentally appropriate physical activities and gameplay.
. By addressing our capital outlay needs and expanding our curriculum, we can create a more enriching and inclusive learning environment. At my school, we strive to cultivate a sense of joy and enthusiasm for physical activity and healthy living. Through participation in various sports and events, we hope to instill lifelong habits of staying active and taking care of their well-being.
What makes the K-6th grade students at my school truly special is their resilience, determination, and eagerness to learn. Despite facing various challenges, they approach each day with a positive attitude and a willingness to grow. Together, we can continue to create a nurturing and supportive environment where every student can engage, learn, and succeed!
