Energy Exploration

My students need a hot plate and beakers to provide a hands-on component to our study of energy in our sixth-grade science class.

My Students

Energy can not be created or destroyed; just changed in form. I would like to provide a hands-on component for our study of energy.

We are located in a new Charter School in New York.

We are classified as a title-one school. Although the students are from diverse backgrounds, they are all excited about science! We have inclusive settings in every class in our school. The students love exploring in science class this year!

My Project

The beakers will enable the students to measure while experimenting. This is an important life skill. Also, the hot plate will be used to explore energy transformations. We will use these tools for other explorations in our science class for many years to come!

Your donation will make a difference in my students' lives.

It will enhance the students' learning by giving them the tools they need to engage in many different lab explorations. By creating a visual or real experience for the students, the learning will become more meaningful.
