Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the course the next few months, I will be responsible for administering multiple state tests to our Independent Study students. These kiddos will be required to come to campus and take these tests in person.
I would like to have healthy snack options available in my classroom so that my students can focus on their tests.
The items I am requesting will make a huge difference. Beef jerky and Z bars are packed with protein and pretzels are a healthy option. Fruit snacks are delicious and full of vitamin C. Additionally, I am requesting two exercise mats, so that my students will be more comfortable while taking the physical fitness tests.
Your support will make it possible for my students to have access to nutrient-dense foods during breaks in testing time. They will become healthier, have more energy, and be better able to concentrate on their test. You will help fight childhood obesity and set them on the right path to a healthy-choice future!
