My Project

"Energize STEM: Exploring the Dynamics of Physical Science" is designed to provide students at a Title 1 school with hands-on learning experiences in physical science through a carefully curated collection of educational resources. We aim to ignite curiosity, inspire critical thinking, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the principles governing our physical world.

A significant component of our project involves the acquisition of educational materials that are both engaging and informative.

We have identified key titles, including "Zero Waste," "Solar Story," "Green City," and "Energy Island" by Allan Drummond, which present complex scientific concepts in an accessible and captivating manner. These books serve as foundational resources, offering students a comprehensive understanding of environmental sustainability, renewable energy, and the interconnectedness of physical science.

In addition, we are excited to incorporate Thames and Kosmos kits, specifically "Solar Bots" and "Wind Bots." These hands-on kits provide students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, fostering a deeper appreciation for the mechanics behind solar and wind energy. The inclusion of these kits aligns perfectly with our goal of creating an interactive and dynamic learning environment.
