My Project
In previous years, our school has been able to provide students with a healthy snack during the day. However, this year with financial changes, we have been unable to provide a midday snack for students. Many of our students go without a snack throughout the day and are hungry. It is very hard to concentrate when you're hungry and as a growing teenager, you're always hungry. A snack would help the students to stay motivated, to take on challenges during the day. These are essentials that many of my students go without.
These snacks will also be used as incentives to help motivate students during the two math blocks and for positive classroom behaviors, good attendance, and effort.
We would be very thankful for the opportunity to provide them a snack when they are hungry. A little bit of food to fill their belly would go a long way in helping them be successful.
