This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are such hard-working, curious little people! They continually want to learn about all sorts of things, These materials will allow them to work collaboratively and build their learning in different ways.The whiteboards will allow students to work out problems, and show me their understanding. The large Post-Its will help students make collaborative posters in all content areas. And the markers will ensure all kids have the necessary resources to show their understanding.
These students are also in a bilingual classroom, so as I tell them, they are working twice as hard to improve their Spanish academics while also transferring their knowledge to English Language Arts.
Giving my students these resources will help close the equity gap, and ensure that my students receive the same opportunities as students who come from more privileged backgrounds.
