My Project
Every day, teachers and staff work tirelessly to create a safe, nurturing environment where students can thrive. However, many of students come to school without the basic supplies they need to succeed as it nears the end of the year. This can be everything from pencils and notebooks to backpacks. Imagine how difficult it must be to start a lesson when you don’t have the tools to participate, or how discouraging it can feel when you’re not able to keep up with your classmates.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they have access to the supplies they need to work.
Making sure students are comfortable and have the glue, pencils, markers and other supplies they need is an essential component in motivating them. My students also need dry erase boards and a classroom pencil sharpener so they can complete their daily assignments. Additionally, I am requesting some books so they have something new to read.
I am asking for donations of school supplies and books to ensure that every child has the tools they need to succeed. Your donations can make a huge impact.
