Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a Title I charter school serving a community just outside Los Angeles. Our school focuses on leadership, service learning, and social-emotional growth. My fourth grade class includes a diverse group of students, with a wide range of interests and abilities. They are inspired to make a difference in their community, and do so through service learning projects throughout the school year.
Due to economic need, most of my students receive free or reduced price lunch.
They are special in many ways, especially in their love of learning! They enjoy watching videos and participating in Physical Education virtually. They also love drawing, journaling, and dancing. My students are very sweet and we are learning to recognize and celebrate our unique strengths and talents.
My Project
A gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers will help me teach fun and exciting end of the year lessons. My students are finally back in person for the first time in over a year.
Proving my students with engaging enrichment activities will make the end of this school year memorable and enjoyable.
I plan to purchase enrichment activities such as art and music to help make the end of this school year really special. In addition, these enrichment activities will help my students express themselves through the arts and allow them to tap into their creativity.
