This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are requesting funding to support meaningful and memorable end-of-year art projects for our 3rd grade classroom at a school without an art teacher. These hands-on activities will provide students with creative outlets while reinforcing key academic and social-emotional skills. Projects include painting decorative rocks for the school garden, making friendship bracelets tied to SEL lessons, and conducting a slime creation activity that explores changing states of matter. Students will also create personal scrapbooks filled with memories from the year—field trips, science experiences like the butterfly lifecycle, and classroom celebrations—celebrating their growth, learning, and friendships.
