Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my high school classroom, we strive to create an environment where students are motivated, engaged, and accountable for their learning. To encourage positive behavior, consistent class participation, and good attendance, I would like to implement a monthly incentive program. The goal is to reward students who consistently demonstrate these qualities with incentives that can be used for educational tools, books, or personal rewards that encourage continued effort and academic growth.
Students who actively engage in class discussions, arrive on time, and maintain a positive attitude will be recognized for their efforts, reinforcing the importance of these behaviors not only in the classroom but in their broader educational journey.
Research has shown that positive reinforcement can lead to improved student engagement, greater academic performance, and increased motivation to excel in both their schoolwork and personal development.
The prizes will be given as monthly rewards to students who demonstrate consistent improvement and achievement across the following criteria: good attendance, active participation, and maintaining a positive attitude toward learning. These incentives will not only recognize the hard work of students who go above and beyond but also encourage others to follow suit, creating a ripple effect of positive behaviors throughout the class.
