Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school in the heart of Utah is filled with adorable, highly energetic, and eager students who are ready to learn and achieve.

Our students always try their best despite the challenges or limitations to experiences they face in their daily lives.

We would like to provide our students the opportunity to use these tools to learn and experiment.

Over 85% of our students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. My students do not all have the same opportunities at home and need to be exposed to as many opportunities as possible at school. School incentives not only let our students know they are valued, but they also gives students an additional incentive to achieve.

Included in our list are wiggle carts and balance boards that will create the opportunity for students to feel part of the school, build interpersonal relationships, and improve social skills. These will provide great rotation, emotional regulation, and physical body awareness while encouraging sharing, working in teams, and building the foundation of social skills.
