Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Just sit back, relax, and enjoy a good book! With your help with the following items, I will be able to create a comfortable and welcoming spot for students to want to read in my classroom. My goal is to create a reading corner that can also help to build confidence, develop literacy skills, and promote a positive learning community.
By donating to our project, you will make reading something students look forward to doing and provide multiple ways to enjoy reading, concluding to more opportunities for their brains to grow!
A comfy rug will allow students to feel comfortable sitting on the floor. I am also planning to have some additional seating options, by adding bean bags and pillows. My students enjoy reading to others. Which is why I like to have stuffed animals as "book buddies". Their book buddy will sit with them as they read it a book. I want to add some of their favorite stuffed animals, to further excite them about reading! As Dr. Seuss said, "You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book."
