Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Children in the Expanded Transitional Kindergarten (ETK) are an enthusiastic group. For many students, this is their first time attending school. In previous years when I have taught this age group, I observed that students enjoyed all aspects of the day and had such a joyous and positive attitude towards school.
Even though distance learning has changed the school experience, it has not diminished the joy of learning and making new friends.
When the materials and activities are age-appropriate and encourage hands on learning, you will see students get lost in their own thinking. This is reflected in their happy and focused expressions. Pure magic!
My Project
In my preschool class, the children are excited that they are learning to write letters and numbers. During our Zoom lessons, my students are given various opportunities to create letters, and I would like to provide additional ways to practice what they are learning.
Magic Writing Boards would allow my students to show their learning and would not require any additional paper or writing materials.
Plus, they are fun to use! The Writing Journals would encourage students to express themselves through drawings and will help them see the connection between their ideas and the written word.
