My Project

Integrating arts is vital for a variety of reasons. All students benefit when teachers integrate the arts into their daily teaching.

Integrating arts supports emotional well-being, fosters a sense of belonging, increases student engagement, bridges the gap between concrete and abstract thought, and helps scaffold learning for multilingual learners.

I am working on being a better art teacher. I recently took a PD class focusing on using art to help reach EL students. The students enjoyed the art lessons that I shared with them. I would like to continue to develop and share art lessons with all of my students.
