Encouraging and Inspiring the Next Generation of Soccer Players
Help me give my students the Bison Futsal Soccer goals, pack of 2. These will allow my students to stay more active at recess and during their physical education class by allowing more exposure to real soccer.
As a physical education teacher, my hope for my students is for them to find way to be active that they enjoy. After recently completing our soccer unit I realized that many of them took great interest in the sport. They were constantly asking to take a soccer ball out to recess. I wanted to take my older grades outside to scrimmage each other when I realized I could not because we did not have the proper equipment. When I realized what they were using to play at recess was a broken goal frame with no net and a covered sitting shelter as the other goal, I knew I needed to find a way to provide them with the proper equipment.
These two goals are going to provide opportunities for my students to play realistic games of soccer in their PE class as well as during recess.
Not only will these goals allow my students to learn more about the sport of soccer by doing, but it also increases their time being physically active. My goal for this project is to increase the activity level in my students with sports and activities that they enjoy doing.
One thing that is really notable about my students is their drive to get better and creativity. As stated above, they have created make shift goals on the recess field so that they are able to play a real game of soccer. They drive they have to get better at soccer amazes me each day. I know that they would be so excited to have real soccer goals to play with. As a teacher, it would be such a blessing to be able to provide my students with this real world experience.
