This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an extremely special group of kids. We have a mixed group of students from different races and nationalities. We are in urban city. My students are respectful and love learning. They are hands-on kids. It is my goal to open their world to many different things and make sure they become productive and respective students in our school community. I really love my students. They are the best! I have a great relationship with them and my goal is to foster a love of learning with them.

My Project

My students missed a lot of school due to the pandemic and are struggling to enjoy reading. These magazines will help them gain a love of reading and also help bridge gaps the students may have. We have moved to everything being digital but I would like for them to have a hard copy of something I do not have to print out and that is already printed for them. I also believe my students will enjoy the magazines and will ultimately end up taking them home and having conversations about the magazines at home.
