Help me give my students the opportunity to increase their success in mathematics by proving vertical writing spaces (whiteboards) to encourage thinking and ultimately learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am writing to share with you the importance of student thinking in a mathematics classroom and how the whiteboards I am requesting will make a difference in their learning.
Studies have shown that vertical non-permanent surfaces (whiteboards) have transformed the way students work in math by not only encouraging but supporting thinking.
My goal for this project is to provide an alternative to pen a paper for my students to facilitate their learning. I aim to create a supportive and interactive learning environment that encourages all students to THINK, participate and share their ideas. By doing so, I hope to increase engagement and motivation, leading to improved academic performance.
Our students are special because they come from diverse backgrounds and have unique learning needs. By providing them with the necessary tools, I believe that every student can reach their full potential. With your support, we can create a classroom environment where every student can thrive and succeed.
