This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are dreamers, builders, and leaders. Unfortunately, they are not given access to many of the tools necessary for success. I aim to train my students in the 21st Century skills that will be required to attain their desired level of greatness. We're a Title I School, with many students who simply do not have access on their own to reliable technology.
What I want most for my students is to be able to take their own future into their own hands without being held back by any sorts of limitations.
My students will be those that change the world because they believe they can. In order to do that, they must be able to use the tools of today and tomorrow.
My Project
The purpose of the materials requested is to allow students to be able to create the stories that they wish to tell.
In telling their stories, the students are visually-minded, as they wish to show the world their stories through the many photographs, videos, as well as audio recordings they have produced.
The students are aiming to perform in a new journalism that is deeply personal and reflective. The laptop in this project is powerful enough to allow the students to create striking videos and other multimedia. They need a powerful computer that can quickly render and edit their projects. The current technology that they have available is unfortunately not suitable for use and quite frustrating for users. With the addition of this laptop, my students will be able to tell and share their compelling stories with the entire world as their attentive audience!
