Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator committed to 21st-century learning, I strive to empower my students to express themselves, share their knowledge, and develop strong communication skills through digital media. To support this mission, we are launching a student-led classroom blog and video series. In this space, students will take on the roles of writers, producers, and editors as they create meaningful content.

To make this exciting project a success, we need reliable audio and video tools that will help bring our students’ voices to life.

Each requested item has been carefully selected to support student learning and enhance the quality of their digital content. AirPods and headphones will allow students to edit audio more effectively, listen closely to their voiceovers, and remain focused in a lively classroom setting. Wireless microphones are essential for capturing clear sound. They also allow students to move freely and naturally during interviews, skits, and presentations without compromising audio quality.

A high-definition camcorder will give our students access to a dedicated video tool that’s more stable and easier to manage than a smartphone. To keep our devices charged and our recording station ready at all times, iPhone wireless chargers are a practical necessity. Additionally, a classroom sound level meter will teach students how to self-regulate noise during filming, promoting a calm and respectful studio-like environment.

With a light kit, students will be able to produce well-lit, high-quality content regardless of the natural lighting conditions in the classroom. With all of these tools combined, our classroom will transform into a dynamic, student-run media studio that encourages creativity, collaboration, public speaking, writing, and digital literacy.
