Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, creative, and eager to share their thoughts with the world! They are second graders who love expressing themselves through writing, storytelling, and collaborative activities. Many of them have never had the chance to use technology to share their voices beyond the classroom walls. With your help, they can become confident digital writers and communicators.

This project will help us launch a classroom blog where students can regularly write, publish, and share their work with families and the school community.

To make this possible, we need basic blogging equipment and materials, including: Class digital cameras or iPad stand for capturing student work, headphones with microphones for recording reflections and stories and storage bins for organizing materials.

With these tools, students will write and post about class activities, science experiments, book reviews, and more. This project will also support writing standards, digital citizenship, and 21st-century communication skills.

The Impact:

Our blog will serve as a platform for every student to have a voice. It will boost confidence, improve writing fluency, and allow for authentic audiences beyond the classroom. Families will be able to follow our learning journey and comment on student work, helping students feel seen and celebrated.
