Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 3rd grade students are deep thinkers who love asking questions about fairness, identity, and how to make a difference in their world. In our classroom, we prioritize stories and lessons that highlight diverse voices and cultures. To build on this work, we need reliable technology that helps students explore, create, and share what they’re learning about racial justice and representation.

With an HP laptop in our classroom, students will be able to:

- Research influential leaders, activists, and cultural figures from a variety of backgrounds

- Create multimedia projects—digital posters, presentations, and short videos—highlighting stories of justice and equity

- Write reflective opinion pieces about fairness, empathy, and standing up for others

- Access virtual museum tours and curated online resources that bring underrepresented histories to life

This HP laptop will be used during reading, writing, and social studies lessons, as well as in small group and independent project time. It will allow my students to:

- Use research tools and websites that focus on social justice, civil rights, and cultural diversity

- Engage with writing and media tools to produce original, thoughtful work

- Develop 21st-century skills while learning how to advocate for themselves and others

Your support will give my students access to technology that opens doors to deeper learning and broader perspectives. This project will not only enrich their academic experience—it will empower them to see themselves as leaders and changemakers in their communities.
