Empowering Young Percussionists with the Tools to Succeed!

Help me give my students essential percussion tools, like stick bags, to attach to their drums during a performance. This will help students stay focused on the music if they accidentally drop their sticks!

My Project

My students are energetic, creative, and passionate about music. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide variety of experiences to our music room. Many of them are discovering percussion for the first time, and for some, the percussion classroom has become a second home.

Despite their enthusiasm, our percussion class often lacks the basic equipment needed for practice and performance.

These students are determined to grow musically, and with your help, they can have the tools they need to shine.

This project is focused on equipping our percussionists with essential tools: drum sticks, mallets, stick bags, and specialty sticks for marching drums. These items may seem small, but they are vital for student success. Currently, many of our percussionists are sharing equipment, using worn-out sticks, or struggling to find a matching pair of mallets to use on their xylophones.

Access to proper equipment will:

Improve students’ technique and confidence.

Allow for more inclusive participation, regardless of economic background.

Enhance the quality of our ensembles’ sound.

Reduce stress and frustration caused by broken or inadequate gear.
